Kyle Merkert

VP of Engineering – BS Eng.

Kyle received his degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from University of New Hampshire where he discovered a passion for microcontroller circuits and PCB design.

Kyle began sharpening his skills as an Ethernet technician at UNH’s Inter-Operability Laboratory. Kyle began his professional career as an engineering team member in the Aerospace industry. Performing verification testing of commercial airline digital engine controllers, Kyle became a team lead responsible for a dynamic team of 12 engineers supporting various airframe manufacturers. Kyle was recruited by Varitex, Inc., whose intellectual property and technology were later acquired by Confluence AI. Kyle was the original hardware and firmware design engineer for what ultimately became the core of the UVoT platform.
